Matthew and Jesse’s urban, travel-themed wedding was inspired by the couple’s love of travel and the city of Toronto. Over 1,000 glass candle lanterns were hand-strung to cover the entire ceiling of the reception space at the Thompson Hotel, which along with all of the exotic flowers (from amaranthus to celosia grown specifically for the occasion) transformed the Thompson into a luxe, vibrant oasis. If that was not modern enough, the couple’s sleek black and granite-coloured cake was displayed on a halo-like floral swing!
