Opulence reigns in this styled shoot inspired by the story of King Midas, a popular figure in Greek mythology who is known for his power to turn everything he touches into gold. With the myth in mind, producer and creative director Diana Pires of Truly Yours Planning designed a shoot that was filled with golden touches and decor fit for royalty.
The ceremony set up features abundant floral displays by Ooh La La Designs with soft purple, blue, champagne, and mauve-coloured blooms dusted with gold. Gold Louis XVI chairs from Detailz Chair Couture frame the aisle and are adorned with custom pillows from Megan Wappel Designs that serve as ceremony programs.
Simply Beautiful Events Décor Inc. created soft gold chair covers for the shoot that pair beautifully with gold Chiavari chairs and a mirrored table topped with shiny gold tableware.
And what would a royal celebration be without cake? The Wedding Cake Shop designed a four-tier, ivory masterpiece with touches of gold to match the “Midas” theme. Amsis Photography captured all of the details on location at Toronto’s One King West Hotel & Residence.
