Couture Spring-Summer 2015: Dior and Chanel

Dior‘s Spring-Summer 2015 Couture Collection was a stunning futuristic take on the Swinging 60’s. We loved Raf Simon’s use of colour throughout the show, as well as the layers of tulle and intricate beaded embellishments featured on the more formal gowns. We can imagine fashion-forward celebs like Emma Stone and Felicity Jones wearing these avant-garde gowns on future red carpet appearances.
Chanel was another major show on our radar. The floral fantasy-themed show featured a breathtaking set that made a splash on Instagram—the 300 flowers that decorated the runway took over six months to make! While we weren’t exactly fans of the styling of the collection, we loved the use of floral embellishments in the show as well as the crop tops shown throughout the collection. Clearly both are trends that are here to stay!
