Legendary designer Oscar de la Renta passed away yesterday at the age of 82. He and his timeless designs were known, respected, and loved by many people around the world—including all of us here at WedLuxe.
Over the years, we have been incredibly fortunate to have had countless numbers of his iconic gowns grace the pages of our magazine. We have loved each and every one of them. Each was effortlessly beautiful, always graceful, and timelessly chic. We have collected a few of our favourites from recent years, including two incredible gowns from our own pages (above), Amal Alamuddin’s ivory beaded-tulle wedding gown, and Sarah Jessica Parker’s show stopping 2014 Met Gala gown.
Oscar once said, “The great thing about fashion is that it always looks forward.”
Yes, Mr. de la Renta that’s true, but we’ll forever look back and celebrate you.
