In case you hadn’t heard, the Canadian Wedding Industry Awards presented by WedLuxe, Birks and Etsy Canada, is now accepting submissions from six regions across Canada. Six distinguished wedding industry experts have signed on as judges and we’ll be introducing you to them one by one!

First, is Marcy Blum, a world-renowned event planner, entertaining expert, and author. Marcy has planned weddings and events for an incredible roster of clients including Lebron James, Nate Berkus, Billy Joel, and the Rockefellers (to name just a few).

Blum has been recognized twice by New York Magazine as “Best Wedding Planner in New York,” was named “Trendsetter of the Year” by Modern Bride, and received the prestigious Silver Spoon Award from Food Arts Magazine, an award usually reserved for chefs.

You can catch a glimpse of one of Marcy’s recent events, the wedding of Fabiola Beracasa (daughter of publishing magnate Veronica Hearst) to Jason Beckman in the September issue of Vogue. The guest list included Givenchy’s Riccardo Tisci who deemed the event “the best wedding he’s been to in his life.”
