Suneet and Jim’s wedding took place over three fabulous days of celebration between March 19-21, 2010.

Sarah Shore of DreamGroup Productions coordinated with the couple to make each day (and party) better than the last—complete with three dinners, three cakes, and three themes. “Sarah provided full planning services starting with creating the vision for the three day event, securing our venues to creating our invitations and stationery, all the way to carrying out each of the three days,” recalls Suneet.

day one
The first day of celebration was an intimate evening wedding ceremony at Queen Elizabeth Park followed by a champagne toast. The couple and their twenty-four guests then headed to Seasons for dinner.

day two

The second night of celebration was an Indian reception held at the Stanley Park Pavilion.

Upright Decor transformed the room to reflect the colourful and celebratory mood of the evening. The guests entered the Pavilion while walking on a purple carpet. They were greeted with a stunning Mehndi canopy to sit under while having henna applied. The canopy was draped in yards of luxurious sheer orange silk and purple velvet.

The ballroom was filled with round tables draped in purple, orange and burgundy pin tuck linens, and anchored with tall glass vases filled with orchid garlands submerged in water. On the top rested a large arrangement with an abundance of purple hydrangea, orange and red tulips, and orange roses. Ice Chiavari chairs circled the tables. Four ten foot iron trees were decorated with colorful Indian lanterns to light up the space.

To keep with the vibrant colors of the reception, the three-tier cake was orange fondant with the couple’s purple monogram on the tiers with purple orchids as accents. Sweet Thea made the cake with layers of chocolate, passion fruit and mango cake.

day three
The third night of festivities took place at the Pan Pacific. The black tie reception was the most formal of the evenings and had an opulent colour palette of white and gold.

Cocktails were served from a monogrammed ice luge while appetizers were passed in the foyer. Guests then entered the Crystal Ballroom where a scene of cream and gold was designed by Upright Decor.

Chiavari chairs were topped with cream cushions and tied with a gold sash and white orchids. A gold charger plate was topped with a white satin napkin, at each chair. In the centre of the tables was a gold column that held up a magnificent arrangement of white phalenopsis orchids.

After dinner the guests were treated to the magical entertainment of Justin Gilbert featuring tricks and illusions.

The guests danced the night away on a dance floor marked with Suneet and Jim’s logo created by Wintons Social Stationery.
