From the moment Vitrie and Daniel became engaged, dreamt of saying ‘I Do’ at a French château. The couple’s dreams became a reality when they became husband and wife at the spectacular Château de Vaux-le-Vicomte at sunset in the château’s gardens. From the outdoor ceremony, the couple celebrated with their loved ones in the central rotunda of the château where textured, rose quartz and serenity blue-hued arrangements filled the room. Lush and luxe, it was a day the newlyweds won’t soon forget.

“Paris is always a good idea,” Audrey Hepburn famously said in the film Sabrina, and we couldn’t agree more — especially for an engagement session! Toronto-based couple Kristin and Michael traveled to the City of Light for a springtime e-session and were joined by photographer Corina Van Sluytman of Corina V. Photography.

Although it rained the weekend the pair visited, the couple braved the elements and took snaps at their favourite spots in the city. From the Trocadéro with the Eiffel Tower in the background to Tuileries Garden and The Louvre, the pair soaked in all the Parisian gorgeousness.

“It was gushing rain for most of the weekend and, given our short stay in the city, we had to just roll with it. Plus, it's Paris in the spring — it doesn't matter what kind of weather you are dealing with it's still all so beautiful,” recalls photographer Corina. “The rain gave every image a soft and romantic look. All in all, it was magnifique!”

We’re major fans of jewellery designer Tara Fava and her stunning creations, so you can imagine our delight when Krista Fox Photography shared these beautiful photos of the bride-to-be’s shower with us!

The celebration was inspired by the City of Light where Tara and her fiancé Matt were engaged last spring. Event Designer Melissa Di Pasquale of Melmarie Events created a romantic atmosphere at Aurora’s Magna Golf Club for the event that echoed the sights and pleasures of Paris. A seating chart was designed to mirror the famous Pont des Arts bridge filled with "Love Locks." Dining tables were decorated with a mix of fragrant coral and pink blooms in gold vases, and place settings featured demi baguettes in custom packaging from inkandpaper.

The pièce de resistance was an incredible sweet table display created by Truffle Cake & Pastry. The display included an endless array of Parisian treats and an exquisite cake with a hand-painted illustration of the Eiffel Tower that perfectly matched the theme (and is so Pinterest-worthy!)
