With inspiration taken from Japanese culture, this styled shoot was a celebration of colour and the finest details. Royal blue dominated the shoot colour palette- from the stationery to the table linens to the tableware. Even the Japanese fighting fish were a vibrant hue of blue! It blows us away how such a specific, unique and thematic detail (that's also a little out of the blue) can completely transform and elevate the decor of a table. This winter and spring, we're all about embracing the rare, the beautiful, and the unexpected.

This Glitterati Style File from our current "Literary Love" issue draws inspiration from the ever-popular and somewhat controversial, erotic romance novel Fifty Shades of Grey. “We wanted to inspire the modern luxury bride to take something perhaps a little risqué and unexpected and adapt it to tell her own authentic love story,” notes producers Sarah Shore and Geneve McNally from DreamGroup Productions. The editorial features countless steal-worthy design and style ideas, especially for brides with an ultra-sophisticated aesthetic, but we were particularly taken with the mirrored chuppah that was designed to resemble a four poster bed complete with a ruched satin sheet runner (Yeah, they went there!)

Stephanie and Glenn’s spring wedding was inspired by the bride’s love of bright colours and bold style. We fell for the lush floral pattern that was incorporated across the custom wedding stationery and decor. The gorgeous floral displays, including Stephanie’s loose bouquet and the swing-inspired arrangement placed above the sweetheart table also had us loving the couple’s day. You can read more about the wedding in the current issue of WedLuxe Magazine (Western Canada edition) on stands now.

Foodies, this wedding is for you! Today, we’re sharing the STUNNING downtown Toronto “I Do’s” of Oliver & Bonacini's President Andrew Oliver to Alana MacDonald. The wedding was a sleek city soirée designed to celebrate the couple’s true romance with a masterful culinary celebration worthy of the famed O&B brand.

Natalie Ho of Oliver & Bonacini Events and Catering provided full-service planning for the celebration that took place at Arcadian Loft last fall. Andrew and Alana worked closely with Natalie to produce a grand-scale event that still felt intimate and party-like. “It was important to us that our celebration included an incredible meal, really great music, and a gorgeous, candlelit setting. We wanted everyone, not just us, to have the time of their lives,” says Alana.

Amazing food was unsurprisingly a major component of the event! The couple worked closely with Executive Chef Jamie Meireles and Chef de Cuisine Michael Robertson of Oliver & Bonacini Events and Catering to create memorable food experiences that would wow guests throughout the evening. A dozen different varieties of canapés were served during cocktail hour, and dinner entrées ranged from a hearty grilled rib eye & slow roasted cap to a lighter fare of broiled sustainable sea bass & lobster bisque.

You can read all about the wedding, captured by a team of four photographers, in the new Summer/Fall 2015 issue of WedLuxe Magazine and see the celebration come to life in the beautiful video from James Frodyma Wedding Films at the end of the post.
