Moloud and Reza welcomed their friends and family to the Shangri-La Hotel Toronto for their luxe Victorian-inspired ceremony and reception. The planning process and the event were centred around family and tradition, drawing from the couple’s shared Persian traditions. In typical familial fashion, food was abundant and well thought out starting with the elaborate Sofreh Aghd, which featured nuts, fruit, and pastries in a traditional fashion. This theme of opulence was carried all the way through to the newlywed’s cake, which was towering, five-tiered, and made from delectable Belgian chocolate – a sweet end to to a sweet day.
